Specification Desk

Contact Mohawk Industries for samples, specs, and flooring engineer reviews

Reach the team that maps hardwood, luxury vinyl, laminate, carpet tile, and ceramic surfaces to your traffic class, acoustic targets, and VOC emissions limits.

How the flooring desk works

Three clear channels for specification support

Use the channel that matches your project stage. Early design teams usually start with sample boards and wear-layer guidance; late-stage teams send acoustic underlayment notes and IAQ language already written into the project manual.

Address

Mohawk Industries Spec Desk
160 South Industrial Boulevard
Calhoun, GA 30701, USA

Visitors by appointment can review hardwood, LVT, laminate, carpet tile, and ceramic boards against corridor and classroom traffic maps.

Email remains the preferred path for drawings, finish schedules, and LEED worksheets that compare recycled content percentage across alternate flooring stacks.

Hours

Monday–Friday
08:00–17:30 Eastern Time
Sample kit dispatch within 3 business days on stocked collections

Urgent punch-list questions about slip resistance coefficient or moisture vapor transmission limits are triaged the same business day when submitted before 15:00 ET.

When to choose engineered LVT versus natural hardwood

Owners sometimes ask whether Mohawk commercial LVT can replace solid hardwood in lobbies and amenity floors. We do not position resilient flooring as a universal substitute for millwork that must age with patina on civic landmarks. We do support waterproof cores and modular soft surfaces when tenant turnover, radiant slabs, or selective plank replacement need documented dimensional stability and service life expectancy without a full tear-out.

If your brief is design-led, bring the brand palette and traffic map. If it is performance-led, bring moisture readings, acoustic targets, and IAQ constraints up front. The form below routes either path to a flooring specialist who will say when underlayment assists STC goals—and when the assembly needs a different stack entirely. Prefabricated bathroom pods tighten adhesive open-time windows compared with traditional on-site sequencing; share that constraint early so we can recommend glue-down versus click systems accurately.

What to include in your inquiry

  • Traffic class and rolling-load expectations
  • Wear-layer thickness or waterproof-core needs
  • Acoustic / STC or IIC targets
  • VOC emissions or FloorScore requirements
  • Square footage, timeline, and delivery region

Responses typically include a shortlist, sample-board recommendations, and whether a physical mock-up is advised before procurement freezes.
